Sugar Garden Drawings, 2018
The Sugar Garden exhibition began with this series of drawings. They are like portraits or family photos. The imagery is a combination of the body, floral forms and decorative elements inspired by the antique furniture that was in my great grandmother's home in Louisiana, MO.
